Supreme Court of Virginia

Isaacs v. Isaacs

September 9, 1915117 Va. 730

Summary

The court held that the wife's decree for monthly alimony created a lien on her husband's real estate for both accrued and future installments. Because the later decree merely made the temporary allowance permanent, the lien for the entire obligation dated from the temporary decree and preceded the husband's later confessed judgment. The decree below was therefore reversed and the cause remanded.
