Summary

The court held that a party must make a contemporaneous objection when opposing counsel allegedly violates a ruled-upon motion in limine during argument or the presentation of evidence. It further held that unpreserved claims of improper closing argument are not subject to appellate review in civil cases and concluded that the motion in limine here was too vague and broad to support reversal. The court reversed the Court of Appeals.
