SCOTUSSouthern Pacific Terminal Company v. Interstate Commerce Commission and Young; Young v. Interstate Commerce…
February 20, 1911219 U.S. 498
The Supreme Court affirmed the decree dismissing bills in equity that sought to enjoin an Interstate Commerce Commission cease-and-desist order forbidding the Southern Pacific Terminal Company from granting shipper E. H. Young exclusive, rent-free wharf facilities at Galveston.
The Court denied habeas relief because the proceeding could not be used to review whether the information was sufficient or whether the petitioner’s conduct violated the statute, so long as the Police Court had jurisdiction over the charged offense.
