Summary

The Oregon Supreme Court held that the state need not prove that the defendant’s false statements caused a greater expenditure of police resources than her true statements would have, that a mixed report of true and false allegations can still constitute a false report under ORS 162.375, and that the trial court correctly denied the defendant’s motion for judgment of acquittal. The Court of Appeals decision was reversed and the case remanded for further proceedings.
