Summary

The Court held that defendant preserved his objection to the investigating officer's testimony because the grounds for the objection were apparent from the context. Assuming without deciding that the testimony was inadmissible lay opinion, the Court held that any error was not prejudicial because substantially similar evidence was admitted without objection and was elicited during defendant's cross-examination. The Court therefore reversed the Court of Appeals' decision requiring a new trial.
