Supreme Court of North Carolina

State v. Bradsher

November 4, 2022

Summary

The court held that sufficient evidence supported defendant's felony obstruction-of-justice conviction based on false statements to an SBI agent about an employee's work. Viewing the evidence favorably to the State, a reasonable jury could find that defendant knowingly made false statements that impeded the investigation and public and legal justice. The court therefore reversed the Court of Appeals and reinstated the conviction.
