Summary

The court reversed the Court of Appeals and held that the trial court properly adjudicated the juvenile abused, neglected, and dependent, and that the mother's ineffective-assistance claim lacked merit because her counsel had not acted unreasonably in failing to object to medical records already admitted without objection. The court held, however, that the trial court's findings were insufficient to support ceasing reunification efforts under the statutory aggravated-circumstances provisions, so it vacated that portion of the order and remanded for additional findings.
