The Supreme Court of New Jersey held that when a defending physician practices in multiple specialties, an affidavit of merit (AOM) from a physician certified in any one of those specialties satisfies the “equivalently qualified” requirement of N.J.S.A. 2A:53A-41. Accordingly, the trial court’s denial of the defendants’ motions to dismiss was affirmed and the case was remanded for further proceedings.
