Supreme Court of New Jersey

State of New Jersey, Plaintiff-Respondent v. Robert J. Stein, Defendant-Appellant

July 19, 2016225 N.J. 582

Summary

The Supreme Court of New Jersey held that the municipal prosecutor was required to disclose the names of neighboring township officers under Rule 7:7-7(b), but because the defendant never sought relief in municipal court the claim was waived. The Court also held that the State must disclose any relevant videotapes if they exist, and remanded for a hearing to determine their existence and appropriate remedy. The convictions were affirmed.
