Nevada Supreme Court

Alfaro v. State

August 24, 2023

Summary

The court affirmed Alfaro's convictions and sentence except for one lewdness conviction that was redundant to a sexual-assault conviction involving the same episode. It held that the evidence was sufficient, that two improperly admitted prior-act items and an erroneous lewdness instruction were harmless, and that the sentence was within statutory limits and not unconstitutionally disproportionate. The court remanded for entry of an amended judgment deleting the redundant conviction.
