Summary

The court affirmed the denial of Stanley’s motion to suppress methamphetamine discovered during a jail intake search following his arrest. It held that police seized Stanley when two officers converged on and surrounded him, but that the seizure was lawful because the officers had particularized suspicion that he was the wanted fugitive they were seeking and, after learning he was not that person, reasonably continued the brief inquiry concerning his distinctive wig and possible connection to the fugitive.
