Summary

The Supreme Court of Missouri held that the Special Administrative Board of the Transitional School District is not an "agency of the state" for purposes of the Legal Expense Fund, and therefore the Fund is not obligated to satisfy the $4 million default judgment against former teacher Allen Merry. Accordingly, the circuit court’s grant of summary judgment in favor of the plaintiff was reversed and judgment entered for the State.
