Supreme Court of Minnesota
Thaleaha McBee v. Team Industries, Inc.
March 27, 2019925 N.W.2d 222
Summary
The court held that the Minnesota Human Rights Act does not require an employer to engage in an interactive process to identify reasonable accommodations. It nevertheless concluded that disputed facts concerning the essential functions of McBee's job, the availability of reasonable accommodation, and whether her employment posed a serious threat to her health precluded summary judgment for Team. The court therefore affirmed in part, reversed in part, and remanded for trial.
