Summary

The Supreme Court of Maryland independently reviewed the hearing judge's uncontested findings and concluded that David B. Mintz committed numerous professional-conduct violations arising from his abandonment of 14 bankruptcy clients, disregard of court orders, failure to communicate, mishandling of fees, personal bankruptcy filings, tax delinquency, and noncooperation with disciplinary authorities. Considering the extensive misconduct and aggravating factors, the Court disbarred Mintz and awarded costs. The Court did not sustain the charged violation involving knowingly making a false statement in a disciplinary matter.
