Turenne v. State

The Court held that sufficient evidence supported Turenne’s convictions for child sexual abuse, production of child pornography, and possession of child pornography. The evidence permitted a rational juror to find that Turenne photographed children in her care for sexual gratification and that the photographs objectively depicted lascivious exhibitions of the children’s genitals or pubic areas. For the child-pornography offenses, the Court adopted a content-plus-context test requiring consideration of the image’s contents and the totality of circumstances directly related to the exhibition.
