Supreme Court of Maryland
Attorney Grievance v. Parris
February 1, 2023482 Md. 574
Summary
The Court held that Keith Anthony Parris violated nine Maryland Attorneys’ Rules of Professional Conduct through persistent neglect of his client’s litigation, failures to communicate and comply with discovery obligations, misrepresentations, unreasonable billing, and failure to cooperate with the disciplinary investigation. Applying de novo review to the legal conclusions and accepting unchallenged factual findings as established, the Court imposed disbarment because the misconduct caused substantial harm and involved intentional dishonesty. The Court also assessed all taxable costs against Parris.
