Supreme Court of Louisiana
In Re: George Allen R. Walsh
December 3, 2018257 So. 3d 654
Summary
The court independently reviewed the disciplinary record and found that Walsh practiced law during a substantial period when he was ineligible because he failed to pay bar dues and assessments and failed to file a trust-account disclosure. Although the record did not establish an MCLE violation, Walsh’s repeated periods of ineligibility and practice during ineligibility constituted grossly negligent, potentially harmful misconduct warranting a six-month suspension, with all but thirty days deferred, followed by one year of unsupervised probation and completion of Ethics School.
