The Kansas Supreme Court held that the unique circumstances doctrine no longer provides appellate jurisdiction and that the court must not make factual findings on the alleged deficient service of the journal entry. Accordingly, the appeal was remanded to the district court to determine the date of compliance with K.S.A. 2019 Supp. 60-258 and Supreme Court Rule 134, and whether Hooks actually received notice.
