Summary

The court held that Indiana's jurisdiction statute applies to persons with out-of-state registration obligations regardless of where the underlying offense occurred. It nevertheless concluded that the statute did not require Peters to register in Indiana because, after leaving Florida, he was not currently required to register there, and Florida imposed no continuing in-person registration obligation on him. The court reversed the trial court and remanded for entry of summary judgment for Peters.
