Summary

The court held that Logan was subjected to custodial interrogation during the videotaped reenactment and that police therefore should have given her Miranda warnings. Because Logan failed to preserve the issue, however, the court reviewed the error for plain error and affirmed her conviction, finding that the evidence was not closely balanced and that the Miranda violation was not structural. The court also rejected Logan's ineffective-assistance claims because she could not establish prejudice.
