The court held that Cook County was not a proper venue for the plaintiff's negligence action because neither defendant resided there, the accident occurred elsewhere, and the corporate defendant had neither an "other office" nor sufficient business activity in the county. The court concluded that the employee's home office was not an office of the corporation because the corporation had selected the employee, not the residence, and its contacts and sales in the county were insufficient. The judgments were reversed and the cause was remanded with directions to transfer it to an appropriate venue.
