Summary

The court held that Illinois law permits a trial court to order a custodial parent to pay child support to a noncustodial parent when the circumstances and the child's best interests warrant it. It affirmed the remand for an evidentiary hearing on the amount of support, but held that the allocation of uninsured medical and related expenses must also be reconsidered because it is inseparable from the support determination. The circuit court's judgment was therefore reversed and the cause remanded with directions.
