Supreme Court of Georgia

Snow v. State

May 19, 2026

Summary

The court affirmed Snow’s malice-murder conviction, holding that the trial court did not abuse its discretion by admitting the victim’s account of prior domestic violence under the residual hearsay exception or by denying continuances. Any assumed error in admitting Snow’s prior conviction for impeachment and in overruling his objection to the prosecutor’s closing argument was harmless because the evidence of malice murder was overwhelming and the evidence supporting voluntary manslaughter was minimal. The indictment challenge was not preserved because Snow did not raise it by demurrer or motion in arrest of judgment.
