Pittman v. State

Summary

The Court affirmed Pittman’s convictions for malice murder and arson. It held that the forensic and eyewitness evidence sufficiently identified the skeletal remains as the victim, that the prosecutor did not have to be disqualified based on unrelated prior representation of Pittman, and that evidence of unrelated later fires was not relevant to show third-party guilt. The Court further held that Pittman failed to preserve his mistrial claim and did not establish plain error.
