Summary

The Supreme Court of Georgia affirmed Mills’s convictions for felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. It held that the evidence permitted the jury to reject Mills’s justification defense because Garrett was unarmed, appeared to have been injured and on the ground when Mills shot him in the back, and Mills admitted shooting him without having seen a weapon.
