Summary

The Supreme Court of Georgia affirmed Johnson’s convictions, holding that the unpreserved challenges to three omitted jury instructions did not satisfy the plain-error standard. The court also held that, even assuming error in admitting testimony concerning Louis’s prior statement that Johnson hit him, Johnson failed to show that the testimony affected his substantial rights because it was cumulative and the evidence of guilt was overwhelming.
