The court affirmed Simmons’s convictions and sentences, concluding that the evidence was constitutionally sufficient and that his unpreserved jury-instruction claims did not warrant plain-error relief. Although the flight instruction was clear and obvious error, it did not affect the trial’s outcome, and the remaining instruction claim likewise failed.
