Summary

The court held that the evidence was legally sufficient to support Heard's convictions as a party to the charged crimes, but that the trial court abused its discretion by admitting evidence of Heard's subsequent crimes under Rule 404(b). Because the later-crimes evidence was highly prejudicial, not cumulative, and the remaining evidence was not compelling, the error was not harmless. The court therefore reversed all convictions while preserving the State's ability to retry Heard.
