Summary

The court affirmed Jones's malice-murder conviction. It held that the trial court did not abuse its discretion by preventing Jones from cross-examining a prosecution witness about her discharged first-offender plea because Jones made no proffer connecting the plea to bias. Even assuming error in admitting Jones's prior felony conviction and the resulting firearm-possession disability, the court held that the error was harmless in light of the evidence disproving self-defense.
