Summary
The court held that the chief judge of a recorder's court and the court administrator were immune from damages claims arising from the court's erroneous report of a traffic-case disposition to the Department of Driver Services. Reporting the status of a traffic case was a judicial function, and the administrator was protected by quasi-judicial immunity when acting at the judge's direction. The court therefore reversed the Court of Appeals to the extent it allowed the claims against these appellants to proceed, while leaving an unrelated ante litem notice ruling undisturbed.
