Summary
The court affirmed the convictions arising from the murder because venue in the murder-related counts, accomplice corroboration, obstruction sufficiency, jury instructions, and jury consideration of recordings were adequately supported or did not constitute reversible plain error. It reversed the obstruction convictions because the State failed to prove that the obstruction occurred in the charged county, although the evidence was sufficient to permit retrial on those counts. It also vacated the sentence and remanded for resentencing under the governing sentencing requirements.
