Summary

The court held that Johnson's convictions for armed robbery and aggravated assault with intent to rob were based on the same conduct and therefore merged. Because the aggravated-assault conviction and sentence were legally void, the court reversed the habeas court's denial of relief and remanded with directions to set aside that conviction and sentence.
