The Georgia Supreme Court held that the trial court lacked jurisdiction to consider Ballard's motions in arrest of judgment because they were filed more than 18 years after his conviction, outside the term in which the judgment was entered, and therefore vacated the trial court's denial and remanded for dismissal of the motions.
