Summary
The court affirmed Williams's convictions and the denial of his motion for a new trial. It held that exclusion of the toxicology evidence was not reversible plain error because Williams failed to preserve the theory he advanced on appeal and could not show prejudice. Even assuming error in admitting evidence of prior violence against former girlfriends or permitting the State's punching-bag demonstration, the court found those errors harmless in light of the overwhelming evidence of guilt and cumulative properly admitted evidence.
