Summary
The court amended Florida Family Law Rule of Procedure 12.510 to incorporate the recent changes to Florida's civil summary-judgment rule and to align the family-law summary-judgment standard with the federal standard. The amendments adopt procedures governing genuine disputes of material fact, record citations, admissibility objections, timing, affidavits and declarations, unavailable evidence, sua sponte relief, and sanctions for bad-faith filings. The amendments became effective immediately, subject to a seventy-five-day period for public comments.
