In Re: Amendments to the Florida Probate Rules - 2019 Regular-Cycle Report
December 19, 2019
Summary
The court approved most proposed amendments to the Florida Probate Rules, revising three proposals and declining to adopt a proposed deletion of the service deadline for objections to a personal representative’s proof of claim. The amendments principally change motion-for-rehearing timing, formal-notice service methods, administration-petition disclosures, will-contest burdens, administration notices, elective-share terminology and procedures, and several guardianship and probate forms. The amendments take effect January 1, 2020, at 12:01 a.m.
