Summary
The Court adopted the Bar's comprehensive amendments regulating lawyer referral services, qualifying providers, matching services, pooled advertising programs, and lawyer directories. Although the amendments did not implement the Court's earlier direction concerning referrals involving other professional services, the Court found them necessary to regulate services connecting prospective clients with lawyers and directed the Bar to submit further amendments addressing that remaining concern. Lawson, J., concurring in part and dissenting in part, would have adopted the amendments without requiring the additional petition.
