Justice Pariente concurred in the result but disagreed with the majority's analysis of rebuttal evidence concerning Cozzie's lack of remorse. She concluded that admitting the evidence was error because an antisocial-personality-disorder diagnosis did not open the door to such testimony, but that the error was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt because the prosecutor did not rely on the evidence in closing argument and the aggravating circumstances were substantial. Justice Quince, concurring in part and dissenting in part, would have found the separate sentencing-related error harmful, while Justice Polston concurred because he found no such error.
