Summary
The Supreme Court of Florida authorized publication and use of five amended or newly adopted criminal jury instructions and two additional instructions as proposed. It modified the instruction for threats against protected persons to require proof that the defendant knew the victim's protected status, and replaced the proposed inference language in the false-report instructions with statutory prima facie-evidence language. The authorized instructions become effective when the opinion becomes final.
