Summary
The Supreme Court of Florida adopted most of the proposed amendments to the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure and related form, effective January 1, 2018. The amendments revise pleading attachments, make adoption case-management conferences discretionary, address sensitive information, establish a judicial-notice procedure in family cases, correct a cross-reference, and revise the simplified-dissolution form. The Court declined proposed amendments concerning minor children's attendance and testimony because of potential unintended consequences and conflicts with juvenile-procedure rules.
