Supreme Court of Florida
In Re: Amendments to the Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure – Corrected Opinion
May 26, 2016
Summary
The court adopted most proposed amendments to the Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure concerning counsel for dependent children with special needs, related pleading and judicial-review requirements, and corresponding forms. It modified the proposals to tie the appointment provisions specifically to section 39.01305, Florida Statutes, and declined to broaden the title and scope of the psychotropic-medication rule. The amendments became effective immediately upon release of the opinion.
