Summary
The court adopted most proposed amendments to the Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure addressing counsel for dependent children with special needs, related pleadings and judicial-review procedures, psychotropic-medication motions, and terminology concerning representation of children. It modified several proposals to tie the counsel provisions expressly to the governing statute and declined to broaden the scope of the psychotropic-medication rule through a title change. The amendments became effective immediately upon release of the opinion.
