Summary

The court authorized publication and use of amended and new standard criminal jury instructions concerning note-taking, insanity medication, impeachment, juror questions, pro se defendants, assaults and batteries against specified officials, and unlawful protests. The court adopted the Committee's proposals with one modification and expressly stated that authorization did not resolve the instructions' legal correctness or foreclose requests for alternative instructions.
