The Supreme Court of Florida authorized publication and use of four new criminal jury instructions and amendments to ten existing instructions proposed by the Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases. The Court adopted the proposals after considering public comments, while expressly declining to opine on the legal correctness or applicability of the instructions. The authorized revisions address felony murder, capital sentencing, arson, failure to return hired or leased property, boating under the influence, and sales or service of alcohol to persons under 21.
