Summary
The court authorized amended standard criminal jury instructions for publication and use, with one revision and one exception. It revised the resisting-officer instruction to cover both resisting an arrest and resisting a law-enforcement officer when the defense claims unlawful conduct, and it deferred the proposed lottery-definition amendment for further committee study because it would create inconsistency among related instructions. The remaining proposed instructions were authorized subject to the court's disclaimer that authorization does not decide their legal correctness.
