Summary
The court authorized for publication and use the new and amended criminal standard jury instructions proposed by the Committee. It approved the proposals largely as submitted, but modified the carjacking and robbery-by-sudden-snatching instructions to include the definition of "weapon" used in the robbery and home-invasion robbery instructions. The court emphasized that authorization does not express an opinion on the instructions' legal correctness and does not foreclose requests for additional or alternative instructions or challenges to their correctness.
