Broomer v. State

Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Broomer's motion to correct an allegedly illegal sentence. It held that judicial consideration of aggravating factors under the sentencing guidelines does not implicate the jury-trial rule when those factors do not increase the statutory sentencing ranges, and Broomer's sentences remained within those ranges.
