The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed the Family Court’s denial of Mother’s motion to recuse the judge in a custody-related proceeding. Applying the required subjective and objective bias analysis, the Court held that the judge did not abuse his discretion in finding no subjective bias and that the record did not establish an appearance of bias sufficient to create objective doubt about impartiality. The Court also held that adverse rulings, standing alone, do not establish judicial bias.
