Summary

The Court affirmed the Superior Court’s judgment after independently reviewing the record under the governing withdrawal procedure and determining that the appeal was wholly without merit. Reissuing the sentence order gave Lacy the direct appeal he sought, so there was no basis to reinstate his postconviction proceeding on the claim that counsel failed to file an appeal. Any separate ineffective-assistance claims concerning trial or sentencing representation may be pursued in the Superior Court after the direct appeal concludes.
