Supreme Court of Delaware
Hill v. Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families
March 4, 2025
Summary
The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed the Family Court’s termination of Jason Hill’s parental rights after concluding that the court properly found, by clear and convincing evidence, that he failed to plan adequately for his child and that termination served the child’s best interests. The Supreme Court found the Family Court’s factual findings supported by the record and discerned no legal error or abuse of discretion. Counsel’s motion to withdraw under the no-merit procedure was rendered moot by the affirmance.
